How do you put accents on characters without having to
constantly go through inserting. I know how to on a
desktop but I have a laptop and it no longer works when I
type in alt + the number- so what do laptop users use?

Maris,

if the characters that you place these accents over are
often repeated, you can use the AutoCorrect function to
replace them. For example, if you want an accent over the
letter "a" , insert the symbol in a document and copy it
to the clipboard. Then click...

Tools | AutoCorrect | AutoCorrect: in the Replace field
type the letter "a." In the With field paste the
accented "a" you copied to the clipboard (Ctrl V). Repeat
this procedure for other accented characters.
