Accepting Invitation Sent on Behalf of Bounces Back Undeliverable

S

This scenario involves 2 users who have both changed their last names within
the last year. In the case of the first user, whom I will call Atty, her
original account was disabled but retained in Active Directory under
Exchange. In the case of the second user, whom I will call Sec, her original
Active Directory account was deleted.

Sec is delegated permissions for Atty in Exchange General under Active
Directory. Atty also shares her calendar in Outlook 2003 to Sec. Sec then
sends an invitation for a calendar event from her own system. When the
invitee Accepts the invitation, the invitee receives a bounce back message
that the message to the former account for sec is undeliverable.

We have checked the permissions delegated on the Exchange server in Active
Directory to be sure the current name for Sec is listed under Atty's delegate
permissions & that there is no forwarding set up for either Sec or Atty. We
have also checked the local configuration on Atty to be sure her calendar is
not shared to the former account for sec.

What else could be the problem?
