Have you added the PWA site to the list of trusted sites in IE and have you
set the permissions level to low and enabled all the active X settings in
the security settings for trusted sites?

Mr. Dave
Yes I already add in trusted site, Set the permission level LOW and enabled
Active X control but problem is still there.
Is it possible that I extract Active x files to a particular folder , if yes
then where.
Or pls provide the solution for that .

Thnx

Nitesh,

Given the number of questions you have, and the speed you seem to want
them resolved, you might want to start looking at some other resources
other than the newsgroups/discussion groups.

Searching the web is an effective starting place. Include "Project
Server" in your search string to narrow your results.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=installing+project+server+activeX+controls&btnG=Google+Search

Searching the archive for the discussion groups as well is helpful:
http://groups.google.com will do this.

Also, look for Project Server books. As you are using 2003, it is well
documented. The MSProjectExperts books are popular.

And in case you didn't click through, the first link I provided will
get you to the answer for a manual procedure for installing the
ActiveX controls.

Hi everyone,

I am the Administrator for EPM in my oragnisation. and one of mt users also
have the same issue. I too have checked all the settings pointed out by
James Fraser. So when the user accepts the End UserLicense Agreement, the
page goes to "Downloading Controls" and then comes back to the intial page.
James, I have checked projectserberexperts.com also, but could not find
anything related to this issue.

Someone please help.

There is probably a restriction on your machines preventing the
installation of ActiveX controls. You need to be able to install
ActiveX controls to use PWA. Typically, this can be accomplished by
adding a site to the Trusted Sites security zone, but some
organizations have locked this zone down as well. You may need to
install the ActiveX controls manually:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...F7-E4A9-4D95-BF0F-CEB0A06F19D6&displaylang=en

Pay particular notice to this note: "Because there are no specific
installation directory requirements, you can copy these controls to
any directory on the client computer; however, you must register them
by using the Regsvr32 tool (Regsvr32.exe). You must register these
controls in the order listed above." This step must be completed for
the controls to work. More details can be found at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/818046/en-us

If this doesn't resolve the problem, the next step after this may be
working within your organization to find out how to get ActiveX
controls installed on your workstation.

Try this...

- Open up your Internet Browser
- Go to Tools -->Manage Add-ons...
- Find the Pj11enuC Class and the PjAdoInfo3Class Active X Controls and
update both. (you may only need to update the PJAdoInfo3Class one).
- Accept the EULA again...

All best,
