Access 03: Network Problems?

R

Ron S

Good Morning,

Before I get started I am sorry about the double post, I figured this
would most likely be answered under this subject rather than internet.

I have a DB that I placed in the shared folder so that other users on
the network could use it, a couple of days ago one of the computers
could not longer open the DB, when they trying opening the DB using
the shortcut that I put on the desktop they get the following error:
"Microsoft Access can't find the database file [file name]". When I
try opening it from Access I am getting this error: "Microsoft Jet
Database engine cannot open the file, it is already opened exclusively
by another user or you need permission to view it data.

On the first error, the DB is right where it should be so I am not
sure why it can not find it. On the second error, I have checked and
no one has this DB open; it should not be a permissions issue either.

This DB has not been seperated yet, this particular computer does not
have everything installed to divide it plus we are getting a new
computer to replace this one soon that will have a full installation.

Any Idea's?

Thanks,

Ron
