Access 1.1 db to a newer version

Mike

I've got some really old access databases that were
written in access 1.1. Is there any chance I can convert
these into a newer version? I'm running Access XP on my
new system, but I think I may have an older copy of Access
97 laying around somewhere.

Anyone know if this will work, or do I need to try and
find a copy of access 95, and convert it into that, then
into 97 then into xp?

Thanks
Mike

The A97 help specifically mentions it can convert A1.x and A2.0 MDBs
to A97 format.

When installing A97 on a system with a newer version installed you
will almost certainly get the license error. .

An *undocumented* way to convert is to create a new MDB in Access XP
and then to *import* (menu File/Get External Data/Import) all the
objects from the 1.1 database. If this crashes, try to import the
objects one after the other instead of all together.
