I believe you will first have to convert the Access 1 database to Access 2
and then you can convert the Access 2 database to Access 2000.

Note that, if you used any Application Programming Interface (API) calls in
the Access 1 or 2 code, those will be 16-bit Windows technology and the
calls will have to be changed (though all, or certainly most, of those API
calls have counterparts in the later versions of Windows).

It may be a little difficult to find someone running Access 2... the machine
on which I had it installed recently "gave up the ghost"; and I can't load
it on my other machines even though I have original media, because none of
my active computers have a 3.5" diskette drive.

If I remember correctly, you'll need to convert it to Access 2 first. Then
convert it to Access 97. Then you can convert it to 2000.

You could easily get it to A97 format without needing to fix the
code.
