Access 2000 ADP, text box scroll bar problem

I have a form (bound to a table) which has a large text box for entering
property legal descriptions. In a few cases this field contains thousands
of characters, and even though I have the scroll bar property set to
vertical, the scroll bar will not appear. Any ideas?
