Is there any problems with converting a MS Access 2000
mdb to the Office XP version of Access?

Note also that a MDB file in A2K file can be used in Access XP software
without conversion. In fact, the default file format when you create a new
database using AXP software is actually a2K file format.

I've certainly come across a problem converting from 2000 to 2002

I've a MS Access 2000 containing 80+tables 130+ forms and 70+ classes and standard modules. I also run a startup procedure from the autoexce macro.

When I do a straight convert from 2000 to 2002 the system crashes. The way I eventually had to convert was to create a blank database in 2002 and then import all the tables, forms, and modules from the 2000 version

I also noticed that the 2002 repair and compacts to a much smaller .mdb file than the 2000 equivalent
