Access 2000 error message

This is the third or fourth time that my database has
crashed within the last week. It gives me the same error
message every time: The database needs to be repaired or
isn't a database file. I can restore a backup and it will
usually last for a day or two then it crashes again. What
causes this and what can I do to fix this problem.
thanks

It sounds as though your database file is corrupt; i.e., its internal
structure is damaged. I'm not sure whether you're seeing the result of
corruption that exists in the backup file, or whether there is something
in your system, network, or usage that is causing a clean backup to
quickly become corrupted.

Corruption most often occurs when you're working with the database over
a network and either have flaky network hardware or things aren't set up
just right. Tony Toews has an excellent page on database corruption,
with tips on how to avoid it, at this URL:
