Access 2000 error - pls help

I am receiving an error message when trying to import a
dBase 5 table (.dbf).

" External table is not in the expected format "

It seems to be running fine on my other NT4 machines. But
under Windows 2000, I always seem to get this error.

any help is appreciated.
