Access 2000 interoperability question

Hi
I'm migrating Access 2000 files to an XP Pro box running office 2003. From
what I have read, by default, Access 2003 runs under the Access 2000 format.
As long as I do not save the database as an Access 2003 database, there
should be no problem working between the two versions. Is my understanding
correct?

You also have to be sure that you don't use any new features of Access 2003,
but other than that, you're correct.
