Hi
Using windows XP, I am moving to Office 2007 for all applications
except ACCESS (due to cost and conversion issues). I have Access based
applications, some of which call Excel spreadsheets. This creates a
problem, since the call for excel in 2007 appears to be different from
the call in Office 2000.
When I am running software using just office 2000 for everything, the
call( C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE "C:\TASC\apps
\TASC-DriverDataCollect.xls") works fine .
BUT when I try to use Excel 2007 (on a different XP machine) the call
does not work. I have tried
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE "C:\TASC\apps
\TASC-DriverDataCollect.xls"
but that has no joy either. Added to that is the fact that desktop
shortcuts to Excell do not show the path, and I am unable to locate
the software by browsing through the program file.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
