Access 2000 MDB file fails to load

F

Fredrik Meyer

When attempting to open an .mdb file in Access, nothing
happens. Nor does anything happen when I try to Compact
and Repair the database, I select the database to compact
from, but then nothing more happens. Access does not give
any error messages though, and the app continues to be in
working condition.

However, an application that uses the database works
fine, so it's obviously still working programatically, as
it were.

Any ideas?

This can be a sign of corruption. See the Access Corruption FAQ at my
website.

Interesting.

Try installing the latest service pack. I had the same
issue and after installing the service pack everything
worked good
