Access 2000 Pass Through

Is it possible to, under the Query drop down, use the Pass
Through command in effect to use server power to run your
queries as opposed to PC power? I had heard of this
before, and I need an elaboration. Please respond via

Hi, Kris:

I guess your question was about how to design a passthrough query in Access.

All you need to do is to design a query by using either GUI or by directly
writing SQL code, then go to "Query' menu, choose "passthrough" to convert
it to SQL passthrough query.

Yes, it will utilize the server resource and the query will be executed on
Server instead of client side.
