Access 2000 shell (path allows only a limited (less than 20) amount of character

Gents,
I have a problem that Access 2000 does not allow to place
a path that is longer than 15 to 18 characters in the
shell function shell (path, constant). My problem is that
my path will be at least 40 characters long - Can you
provide a solution ?
