Access 2000 with Windows XP

I have a new computer which came with Windows XP home edition loaded on it. I
very dutifully went to the Microsoft website and downloaded and installed all
the patches, service packs etc that applied. Now when I try to load my Office
2000 Premium on the new computer I get a pop-up that says "Windows file must
be installed for your installation to proceed. Insert your Windows XP service
pack 2 CD now." and then "Error 1933, Windows Installer Service cannot update
one or more protected Windows files." I downloaded Service pack 2 so I don't
have a CD. I found a white paper on the knowledge base that said to copy
Fpencode.dll to the appropriate folder which I did but I still get the error
messages. Any ideas?

TIA. Lynne
