Access 2000 & Word 2002

Hi everybody!

I'm not sure who's to blame. I have an Access 2000
database. I created a query to pull some data to be used
in a business letter created in Word 2000.

Of course, in my PC everything works just fine. The
problem arises with my client PC. She has Windows XP(I'm
on NT)and Office 2002(Access included). When she opens the
Word document and tries to find and specific record, the
search will find no match even though we both know the
record is there. Both document and database are installed
in a server, but I haven't got any problems with this.

We installed Office 2002 SP's but the problem remains.

Has anyone come across a problem like this? Any
suggestions?

Thank you.

Perhaps the word doc is looking to the wrong location for the mdb file.

I as rule try and avoid letting word attach to the mdb file.

A good solution is to send the merge data to a temp text file, and let word
merge on that.

I have a nice working example that does this. You can download the example,
and give it a try (it has a few sample records to try merging into word).

The nice advantage of this approach is that you can thus mix and match
different versions of word and ms-access, and it is still works.
