Access 2002 and ToolBar Missing

Ken

I am running Access 2002. This may be more of an "Office"
general question, but here goes. While I was away from
the office, someone got on my PC at the office and now
when I go into my MS Access, I have no Menu bar at the
top, like "File,Edit,View, etc." There is no menu bar for
me to click on, so I open the database by clicking on it
manually. It opens the database and still no menu bar.
If I make changes to a query, I can't save the query, I
just have to click the X on MS Access, it closes the
database, saves my changes and then I go reopen it again.
I know this sounds nutty, but I don't know what to do to
get the "Main" menu back in Access.

Please Help.

Try this:

1) Open your database.
2) Right mouse click in the gray toolbar area at the top
of the Access window. A popup menu will display.
3) Select "Customize...". A "Customize" dialog box will
display.
4) On the "Toolbars" tab, select "Menu Bar" so that it is
highlighted. Also, if this item is unchecked, check the
box.
5) Click on the "Properties" button while "Menu Bar" is
highlighted. A "Toolbar Properties" dialog box will
display.
6) Click on the "Restore Defaults" button.
7) Click on the "Close" buttons for each dialog box. The
menu should re-display and continue to do so the next time
you open the database.
