Access 2002 creating 2000 format?

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody out there knows why when I
create a new database in Access 2002, it shows that it
created an Access 2000 database by default... I am running
the newest version of Access 2002 with all updates. Is it
because I don't have any advanced features in my database
yet that would require Access 2002 and therefore creates an
Access2000 database instead?
Any knowledge support is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!
Dana

The default database format for Access 2002 (and 2003, for that matter) is
the Access 2000 format. This is simply to make it easier for a larger number
of users to be able to use the same database.

If you want, you can convert your database to Access 2002 format through
Tools | Database Utilities | Convert Database... on the menu bar. You can
also change your version of Access to use Access 2002 format by default on
the Advanced tab through Tools | Options on the menu bar.
