Access 2002 error messages

Hello, I design Access databases for my company and have
been experiencing quite a few error messages saying I have
to repair the database. The most common one says. "The
database needs to be repaired or isn't a database file."
It goes on to say, "You or another user may have
unexpectedly quit Microsoft Access while a Microsoft
Access database was open." I'm thinking this may have to
do with people not closing inner windows before closing
the whole program. The database has about nine users and
the users have different versions of Windows and Access on
their computers. The database has 20,000+ records. Has
anybody out there experienced this particular error
message, thanks.

The issue is probably more due to the different versions of access you are
running on the clients. Microsoft usually releases a new version of the jet
database engine with each version of Access, (the exception being the latest
version in Office 2003). Check Microsofts web site for specifics of the jet
database changes and make sure your data is in a format compatible with all
your desktop versions of Access.
