Access 2002 - Grow to Fit Text in Database

I would like the cells (fields) in my database to
accommodate a greater amount of text when necessary -
even to be able to tab to a second line in the cells
(fields) if possible. I am using Microsoft Access 2002.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Your fields will allow as much data as you define for the field type. A
memo field will allow thousnads of characters. A text field will allow up
to 255 characters.

You can use multiple lines (especially in a memo field) without tabbing in
your reports or forms.

You should not be entering data directly into the table, if that is what you
are doing.

Rick, I am entering data into the database view (I guess
it's the database view of the table.) I'm confused,
Rick....where should I be entering data?....If I set up a
field for 255 characters, it will type 255 characters,
but on one line only - not multiple lines. Thanks for
any help you can give me.

You need to build a form and make it look the way you want. build an input
form. When you add the fields to the form, you can shape them any way you
want. Instead of making one wide field, you can make it a rectangle that
allows several lines to be seen. This will also let you add vertical scroll
bars.

Build and work in your forms, not your table.
