Access 2002 malfunctioning w/ Sourcesafe

I can't create a VSS datebase from Access 2002. When I try
to create the VSS databse, the Access database is supposed
to close and add all the objects to the Sourcesafe
database. It doesn't! The Access database flashes but
never shuts down (as in Access97). Also, the sourcesafe
tool bar buttons never "enable" seeming to indicate that
they don't recognize any VSS databse being created. I'm
using VSS from Visual Studio 2003 and its working
satisfactorily. Anyone have a clue?
