Access 2002

I am trying to install Access 2002 on a win98 laptop. It
has Access97 already installed.

Inseting the CD will bring up a window:
"System Files Update Setup" (Install Windows and Office
Components Updates). Microsoft Office XP requires newer
Windows system compnents not detected on your computer.
To install Office, setup must update your system to the
minimum required level of functionality, including: Core
System and Data Access components.

Hitting Next will get me to "System Files Update Setup".
The installation process will finish and the system will
reboot, after which the Windows 98 Setup Updates System
Settings.

Access2002 will then try to install again, but I now get
a Access2002 Setup message:
"Error 25506. Microsoft Access 2002 requires updated
system files not detected on your computer. You must
install the System Files Update prior to installing
Access. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ASYCFILT.DLL is version
2.40.4275.1 when we require version 2.40.4277.1"

Clicking OK will then give me a Microsoft Access Setup
message telling me it did not complete installation
successfully and askes me to send a report to Microsoft
or not.

What's going on and how can I help it??
