access 2002

I am building a database win access 2002 and have found 2 issues

1 if I click anywhere on the screen it opens up last report I opened (I am
using 6 different reports). It does not interfere with use of database but
will look so unprofessional if happened with others using it

2 I set up a field as hyperlink to connect to excel or word documents, this
worked fine, but after opening the link the record set seems to vanish. This
means that the records showing now start at record no 2, if I add further
hyperlinks it keeps removing further records. I started with 24 records and
ended up with 6 showing, but as I had saved a backup copy managed to salvage
my work

Sometimes it really does feel like a computer is possessed!

1) Notice carefully where you have to click to have the report open. If
Access isn't maximised, presumably clicking on the background doesn't do
this. Narrow it down. Then right-click and look at Properties. Explore
the "Events" tab - is there anything there that is responsible? Have you
actually closed the report? Out of ideas, otherwise...

2) Need more information on this one. This is a field defined as a
hyperlink in the table definition, right? Does this behaviour occur when
you interact with the table directly?
