Access 2003 / 2007 Compatibility Issues

One of my database users recently upgraded to Office 2007 and can no longer
access the database which was developed in 2003. The problem seems to be the
fact that the Target for the Shortcut used to access the database is:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE".....

But the 2007 user no longer has a MSACCESS.EXE file in C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11. Instead this user's MSACCESS.EXE is located
in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12.

What is the simpliest way to resolve this issue? Can we simply create a
copy of this user's MSACCESS.EXE in the OFFICE11 folder?

Just right click on your shortcut, choose properties and change the target
from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11 to C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE12 and click apply, your original shortcut should work fine.

Hope this helps!

Hi Miranda,

Unfortunately, I have tried that and it won't let me. It says that the path
is not valid. I was trying this from my computer which has the .EXE file in
Office11. Should I try from the user's computer who has the .EXE file in
Office12?

Thanks!
