Hi,

My problem is in running access 2003 setup under win
95,97,2000

I have created a access application set up using access
2003 Developer extension package wizard. It went well. My
access application version is of access 2003 .
I tried runing the set up in a m/c where access is not
installed , it went fine ..set up made run time
installation of access 2003.
Later, I tried running in a m/c which has access 2000
installed .My set up installation was fine ..but when i
tried to run the application it gives error "error :
1911 , setup cananot register type library " ..what i need
to do to fix this issue.. and also will my setup run in
win 95,97,NT,2000 ...if not what i need to do to make it?

thanks in advance

regards

I have run into the same problem. The problem stems from libraries of
different version. You distribute the program which is using a specific
version library, but the customer has a prior version their computer. I am
not sure how a developers application really works, but perhaps you need to
distribute some of the libraries, in the version that you are using with
your data. On one of my clients computers, access 2003 is installed, but all
other office products are office 2000. When I distribute my front end to
that computer, the excel library always throws out an error and I have to
fix it by manually replacing the libraries with the ones installed on her
computer which is excel 9, instead of the excel 11. Then everything works
fine. I have seen some info in automating that task on some of the access
guru's website. You might want to look into that.
