Access 2003 can't import delimited files

I'm using Access 2003 on Win XP SP2.

Trying to import an Excel CSV file using "get external data", but
neither csv or ANY delimited formats are offered as an option in the
Import dialogue box.

I tried using the "Text" option but it did not regognize my columns as
fields.

Any ideas about how I can fix this?

In my ACCESS 2003 (Win XP PRO SP2), I see this option in the dropdown list
for file types:

Text Files (*.txt, *.csv, *.tab, *.asc)

You don't see this option?
