Access 2003 Code Commenter Add-in

I've just upgraded from the XP version to Access 2003. Trying to add
standard error-handler and comments to my code, I realized that Code
Commenter and Error-handler add-in is no longer showing up under Add-In menu.
Is there anything special I need to do to continue using this add-in?

Thanks!

Hi,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.
In the VBA Editor window (alt+F11), you can use the
Comment Block and Uncomment Block commands on the toolbar. These buttons
allow you to Add and remove the comment character, an apostrophe, for each
line of a selected block of text. If you do not have text selected and you
choose the Comment Block or Uncomment Block command, the comment character
is added or removed in the line where the pointer is located.

Comment Block button: Adds the comment character to each line of a selected
block of text.

Uncomment Block button: Removes the comment character from each line of a
selected block of text.

For more information, please search in VBA Help under the topic "Comment
Block" or "Uncomment Block".

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

Regards,

The Code Commenter and Error-handler add-ins where part of Office Developer
Editions/Tools for Office 2000 & XP.
I am just guessing that to use them in Office 2003 you would have to get the
current equivalent Developer tools: Visual Studio Tools for Office. I don't
know that those add-ins still exist, but I wouldn't expect older ODE addins
to continue to work with a newer version (the Packaging Wizard certainly
doesn't). Of course, it would be nice if they did, but it would come under
the heading of "pleasant surprise".

The Office 2000 Developer add-ins did work with Access 2002. I have not
tested them with Access 2003, but the chances are, I think, quite good that
VBA add-ins will still work - Access 2000, 2002, and 2003 all use VBA
version 6.
