Access 2003 Developer Extension - 'CompactRepair' Error

I recently installed MS Office 2003 Professional and MS Office Access 2003
Developer Extensions which will be used to support and existing Access 2003
application. When I use the Custom Startup Wizard to create the template and
batch file, I get the following error message when trying to create both:

Error 3045 - Method 'CompactRepair' of object '_Application' failed

I running this software on an XP machine (SP). Any idea how I may correct
this problem or could you direct me to a site wher I may do further
investigation?
