Access 2003 export report into Word then edit file

Hi,

I've spent a good few hours searching and trying to work this out but
so far no joy. I need to export an MS Access report with borders,
colouring and detail in it's exact format, into Word, then I need to
be able to edit text in the word file. Also I have a grouping levels
in my report.

I downloaded and tested the A2K2ReportUtilitiesver2 from lebans.com,
and can see it keeps the formatting when exporting to word which is
great, but exports the report as a picture into the Word file, whereas
I need to be able to edit the text. I know very little about
programming in VBA, and copied the 5 modules for this utility into my
database, with the 'ReportUtilities' form. This showed my reports but
when I tried to print or export to rtf, I received code errors. I did
not pursue trying to fix these as I thought there was no point if will
not be able to edit the text output of my Access report.

I have considered creating a Word template, and using the mail merge
option, but I am not sure how to work this for my grouping level. The
report is based on 2 tables, a one-to-many relationship, the child of
which has values and quantities where I need the report to
automatically calculate the values and display the totals. If this is
possible then I suppose I can use it this way.

However, ideally I require the functionality of using the 'publish it
with Microsoft Office Word' feature, but still keeping the formatting.
I'm yet to find a way of doing this and will continue looking.

Any help appreciated.

Many Thanks.
