Hi all.
I originally posted this in microsoft.public.access, but I did not get
any reponses to it. I am hoping to get some help here.
I have a customer who had their Access database updated by their
head office and now one system cannot link it's data to Word as it has
in the past.
The system in question is running 2000 Pro SP4 with Access 2003
(11.5614.5606). The other 2 are running XP Home SP2 with Access 2002
(10.2627.2625). The XP systems are fine.
Here is the problem in detail;
A database is opened, and a search criteria is entered. Then they click
a range button to link the data to a word template (eg a thank you or
receipt letter). Normally you see a quick box open up about DDE and Word
opens with the data embedded in the form letter. When it fails, a box
pops up from MS Access giving the "file not found error". No DDE box
pops open, nor does Word try to open.
Someone had suggested that perhaps the problem may lie in the OBDC
drivers.
Any ideas?
Thanks In Advance,
