We've just converted from 97 to 2003 and use a lot of hyperlinks to open
documents external to the database. How do I get Access 2003 to stop popping
up the warning that hyperlinks can be dangerous...etc. We reduced the
security setting to low which took care of the bothersome warnings about code
and macros...
Because too much information is better than not enough: We use the
hyperlinks in our document control table. We provide all the information
about the document and hyperlink to it.
We use simple Access databases as "Launchpads" for people working on the
shop floor to access documents they need. The launchpad is a table with a
hyperlink field and a text field that allows them to find the document they
want and click the hyperlink to open it. The document they are opening is
external to the launchpad database and is either a microsoft office document
in a folder or an Access report in another database.
Thanks
