Access 2003 Macro Security

I am getting an error message with title "Security Warning" and message "This
file may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your
computer. Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?"
I am using Macro security level of Medium. This is my company policy and
cannot be changed. I also downloaded Microsoft Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8, and
Enabled the sandbox mode. According to all the information I could get, this
is supposed to suppress any security warning message boxes for macros which
are considered safe. But to my surprise, when I created a brand new blank
database and saved it, and tried to open it, I am getting the error message
that I described above.
Can you please help me to find a way of suppressing this message box?

Paramesh,

Follow these instructions carefully:

1. Click START>Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Access

NOTE: Do NOT open any databases. Just open Microsoft Access only.

2. After Microsoft Access is open, go to Tools>Macros>Security

NOTE: This will open a Macro Security Window

3. Click the 'Low' option, followed by the {OK} button.

4. That should do it! You're done.

As I mentioned in my original post, security level of "Low" is not an option.
Company policy says that we should use medium level security. Are you
sayingthat with medium level security I will always get that message no
matter whether the database contains harmful macros or not?

If the database you are opening was not signed with a digital certificate,
the answer is yes.

FWIW...your company policy is flawed. If the database is not signed, and
you open it anyway, you're no better off than you would be to have macro
security set to low. Even if a database IS signed, there is still the
potential for mischief....the only difference being; you'd know who to
blame.

For your own use, on your own PC, you can create your own certificate using
selfcert.exe (in the Office11 folder by default).
