Access 2003-make MDE hangs access

Ive created an access2003 database with several forms with VBA code in the background, I dont use the opendatabase command but am using the xx=currentdb and openrecordset...

Ive compiled the code, and there's no errors

When I try to make an MDE file, Access just hangs with 100% processor usage and nothing more happens and I have to terminate Access

Microsoft have reported this and say to run access with the /decompile option then try and create the MDE, but this hasn't helped at all

Has anyone found a work around that does work

Thanks

Andy

Could it be that your MDB is, as is the default, being saved in Access 2000
file format? If so, convert it to Access 2003 and try again.
