Access 2003 - Method 'CurrentDb' of object_'Application failed error

Sam

Hi all,

This is not a question. Just for the record, I wanted to report
that the Amy's solution at the bottom of this message still
perfectly works for MS Access 2003 (MS Office 2003) on
Windows XP Home edition.

I couldn't find such a helpful solution anywhere else on the net. I'm
writing this for those who may search the MS newsgroups for similar
problem in future.

Thanks a lot Amy Vargo.

Sam

All of my wizards appear dead and i get the message

Method 'CurrentDb' of object_'Application failed

every time i try to use a wizard. Ihave reinstalled Access
twice hoping to correct what I thought might be a corrupt
file. Anybody have any solution to this perplexing issue?
I can't import any .csv files since it automatically
launches into a wizard to do so.

Hi,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

Check your references. Go to Modules and open a new module. Go to the
menu bar and choose Tools, References. Uncheck any checked references
preceeded by the word "missing". Also, make sure you have a reference
checked for Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library and make sure it is in the
list of references anywhere above the reference for the ActiveX 2.1 Object
Library.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

Regards,

Amy Vargo
Microsoft Access Engineer
