Access 2003 missing form scrollbar

I've got an Access form with a large Detail section (7") and a large
Footer (17") . I've tried various window settings for the form, but
the form opens on the form footer and there is no scrollbar, just the
greyed out bar. I dod not see any text boxes with non zero margins.
The actual form size is about 6.5". The form did scroll before I added
the footer data.


OK, I just tried moving the short section to the Header and the long
section to Detail. Still no scrollbar, but now it opens to the Form
Header. ;-/

Any ideas appreciated.

Slick Willy,

Go to design view of the form then open the Properties window. Once there
look for Scroll Bars and set it to Vertical or whichever setting you desire.

Thanks Gina, but it was nothing so obvious.

I even rebuilt the forms, but did not get it working. I eventually
went to more tabs, which I wanted originally but the UE types objected
to.

Well, always check the obvious first! However, in your reply I noticed you
mentioned tabs... are there tabs in the detail section? Subforms on the
tabs or in the detail section? Perhaps you should describe your form a wee
bit more...

Sure, kinda moot now, but it's always nice to know for future
reference.

The main form has five tabs all with a subform on each, the first
subform (main tab control) has a sub tab control and this tab control
has a subform on one of the tabs. There were originally only three
tabs on the main control, but the scrollbars would not display on the
long subforms. I did see a similar problem where a guy could not get
the scrollbars to display depending on the screen size but I can't
find the link now. The forms are all unbound BTW.

Perhaps it is the size of the subforms? Or even the size of the tabs?
Because trying your scenario I still get scrollbars.
