Access 2003 - No fields listed in Form Wizard

When a colleague (an Access novice) attempts to create a new form based on a
table or query, no fields appear in the 'Available Fields' list box of the
wizard.

New forms can be created in design mode where the fields are availble, but
as I say, my colleague is a novice and prefers to use the wizards.

SP2 has not solved the problem. Any sugesstions?

The wizards are actually pretty competent for the basics. It sounds
like your colleague is not selecting a table or queryname! Could you
ascertain exactly what steps they are taking to create a new form?
Have they tried selecting the query and using the Autoform button?

I can vouch for the fact that the Available Fields list box is not populated
no matter which table or query he chooses as I tried it myself.

I'm not sure about the Autoform option, it may do what he's looking for.

By the way, I've reinstalled (full installation) the full Office Pro suite
and applied all available updates from Microsoft update. This only happens on
one PC (same for all user profiles on that PC), but its one I'd rather not
flatten.
