Access 2003 ODBC linked to SQL 2005

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. I'm using SQL 2005
for data and connecting to the server using Access 2003. I have one table for
stored images and the data field is set to Varbinary(max). I can link the
table to Access, but when I try to open the table, Access shuts down without
any error messages. If I change the Varbinary(Max) to Image data type, Access
2003 has no problems. My question is - is there a fix or a work around or is
Access 2003 just too old for SQL 2005?

And, Mike, is there some problem with converting the varbinary that you want
to use to the Image type that actually works?
