Access 2003 OS System Specs?

I looked at Microsoft's site for the OS system specs on
Access 2003. Am I reading that right?! Access 2003 ONLY
works on Windows 2000 or XP systems??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's IT?!!!

Can someone confirm that? I assume then the runtime files
as well will only work on 2000 and XP. True/False?

Yup, http://www.microsoft.com/office/access/prodinfo/sysreq.mspx states that
you need either Win2000 or WinXP for Access 2003, and since the runtime is
the same executable, that would doubtlessly apply there as well.

According to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle.mspx NT 4.0
Workstation has been officially unsupported since June 30th of this year,
and Win98 and 98SE will be unsupported as of Jan 16th of next year, so I
guess they didn't feel it was worth worrying about all the additional
testing that would have been required to ensure it worked with those OS.

Well that totally bites!!!!
And that's about as nice as I can say it.
They just lost the possibility of me upgrading to Access
2003. I guess I'll keep my money to myself.
