Access 2003 problems

We are trying to upgrade to Access 2003. The application
is in Access 2000. Several problems occur.
Linking Table Manager is blanc, no tables listed.
We have to link in Access 2000 and then switch to 2003.
Two functions are not found intermittently
DATE() and NOW(). Service pack 8 is installed.
These problems prevent us from changing to Access 2003
and we are running both Access 2000 and 2003.
Anybody has some help?

It's a known bug. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=835415.
