Access 2003 question

I'm curious why, when I open the linked table manager in Access 2003, it
displays none of my linked tables. Am I missing something? When I open the
same old database in AccessXP, it displays the linked tables as always.

Any advice?

Thanks.

Yes, sure, this is a split database and has been for a year or so. Works
fine in XP (and works fine in 2003!). The tables are all in a separate DB.

But the Linked Table Manager doesn't show them or anything else - the
"field" is blank - no tables referred to.

I don't understand it. When I open the same database in AccessXP, they
display in this same Linked Table Manager as they should.

Most everything else in 2003 seems to work just fine.

I've heard of other people having this problems, but I can't reproduce the
issue.

Does this only occur with certain databases or with any new database? What
Operating System are you running? Do you have any other versions of Access
installed on this machine? Thanks!

I am running WindowsXP, and indeed I do have other versions of Access on the
computer - both 97 and XP. Having just installed 2003, I haven't had a
chance to experiment with other databases (the one I'm running is not "new,"
just opened in 2003). In AccessXP, when I (re)open the same database that
will not show the linked tables in 2003, I see the tables displayed.

When I get a few minutes, I'll try "other" databases, but in the meantime,
let me know if you have any ideas.

Incidentally, I can see all the linked tables using FMS functions. They just
won't display in the Access 2003 linked table manager.
