I was using Access 2003 and minimized the program to switch applications. I
tried to switch back after a few hours, and the program would not
restore--neither would Excel.
I used the Repair option in Add/Remove Programs, and when that didn't help,
I completely removed Office 2003 and reinstalled. All of my other Office
apps work; When I try to open Access, I get a brief "about" title screen, and
the app is shown minimized on the task bar. The right-click context menu has
the usual Restore and Maximize options, which do nothing.
It doesn't matter what shortcut I use to open the program, or if I try to
open an .mdb file directly. I've tried closing other processes, ending the
Access process tree, and using the Office Application Recovery tool. Nothing
has worked. 'Tis very frustrating, and any assistance would be appreciated.
