Hi,
I have just upgraded a PC to Win 2003 and installed a SQL DB from 6.5
to SQL 2005 Express.
We are connecting via ODBC from Acces 2003 to the SQL 2005 Express DB.
The Access app was working fine in Access 97 connecting to SQL 6.5 DB.
Now we are gettting a problem when someone switches from the Access app
to another application then back. The form fields have the #Name? in all of
them.
So it seems the connection seems to be dropping out.
I tested this on my dev PC by loading the Access DB then stopping the
SQL service manager for the SQL DB.
This causes the same problem with #name? in the fields.
So does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
Would trying a different protocol help or using a different ODBC client??
