Access 2003 upgrade for Office 2003 Basic??

matt

i purchased office 2003 basic and now i've determined that i need access
2003 as well. office 2003 basic isn't listed on the upgrade eligibility
list, as other versions of office are. is it simply assumed that office
2003 would be a qualifying product? that's my assumption but i wanted to
make sure before i buy.

thank you very much.

thanks for the reply, mary, but i don't see...in the "upgrade eligibility"
section...where it says that office 2003 basic is a qualifier for access
2003. it makes sense that it would be since office xp, office 2000 and
office 97 are all qualifiers but i don't see office 2003 specifically named
as such.

anyway...thanks.

Hi Matt,

MS considers adding applications or other editions of the
same version of Office you start with (in this case 2003)
as a 'crossgrade' and the 'upgrade' packages won't recognize
a 'same series' product. If you have MS Works or any of the
older version Office products listed on the 'upgrade eligibility'
portion of http://microsoft.com/office/access/howtobuy/default.mspx
you would be okay.
