I have a user who recently had his machine replaced. His old machine
was set up to open JPG files through Acrobat. Access would follow
this and open links to JPG files in Acrobat.
On the new machine, though we have set Windows to open all JPG files
in Acrobat, the Access database will open the file in Internet
Explorer, completely ignoring the Windows settings.
I have tried removing and reinstalling both programs to no avail. No
matter what program I set to open JPG files, Access ignores the
change. Even after unregistering and registering the programs again
had no affect. The rest of the office apps open JPG files according
to the Windows settings. It is just Access that has the issue.
Any suggestions?
