What is the max bytes amount for a database file in Access
2003. For office XP it is 2 Gigs. Did they increase the
size of the file limitations

Thanks

No, they did not -- a single Access database can be no larger than 2 GB.
However, an Access database can link to tables in other Access databases
(and other database software, as well, for that matter), so your database
can USE far more than 2 GB.

Unless you have individual tables that are very, very close to 2 GB, you are
likely to run out of processing "horsepower" before you encounter real size
limits.

The 2GB limitation is a JET limitation, Eric, and as JET is in maintenance
mode, that will not change.
