can anyone tell me where is the basic steps to start

Find a good book or two. I just looked through "Building Microsoft Access
Applications" by John Viescas at a local Borders. It looked good but might
be a good second book. John's book "Microsoft Office Access 2003 Inside Out
" is good for beginners through more advanced users.
