Access 2007 and 2003 on one PC

I posted a question a few days back and just tried to implement the solution.
I am running Vista and trying to get Access 2007 and 2003 to run.
Installation is OK but 2003 has a reference to Access 12 Library when it
should be Access 11. This causes all sorts of errors.

Doug Steele identified the problem and I tried to change reference to 11.
Initially it was not in the list of references so I tried to browse to the
directory where 2003 was installed. I located the file MSACC.OLB and set it
as a reference however I cannot remove Access 12.

I tried to promote 11 above 12 but that didn't work either. After playing
for a while I lost Access 11 and now the browse to select the reference won't
even work. You can change the top box to C:\ but the panel below will not
show the folders in C:\ It remains displaying the system32 files and folders.

Has anyone successfully managed to run both on the same vista machine?

I currently run Access 2000, 2003, and 2007 all on the same machine. I
haven't noticed those problems. However, I did have a problem similar with
Excel keeping the Excel 12 reference. I think your database may be corrupt
now. In my case I had to revert to a backup copy.

Hi Bob

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am using Vista. What OS are you
running.

In that case, I have no idea where to go so it looks like it will go in the
'too hard' basket.
