access 2007 and asp 3.0

Dan Marinø

hi all

i am in a big trouble with access 2007

i have an asp 3.0 website, with an access 2000 db in the backend. i often
update this file, i add some record, i delete some and so on.

some days ago, i did the same thing but with access 2007 (i formerly used
access 2003): obviously i had a backup of the old file and obviously i did
not convert the mdb file to the new access 2007 format.

ok.

finally, after the update, i upped via ftp the file and... surprise!

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Unrecognized database format.

ok again.

then i got the new file, i opened it with access 2003 (without any
problem), then i rebuilt it with access 2003, i uploaded it and... the same
error.

agh.

seeking on google, i found 2 answers: a) corrupted file (but it has just
been created from scratch from access 2003... and anyway, access can read
it!), b) installing mdac/jet: but on the server there are already the
latest versions... and anyway, the db is an Access 2000 db, and i always
used this file format...

someone can help me?

thanks in advance
