Access 2007 autocorrecting query criteria

N

nsh

When I enter criteria in a query in Design mode, such as Not like "box*"
Access is changing Like to Alike which fails to return the correct response.
Like=>Alike is not listed in the autocorrect list. The database is in
Access 2000 format so its accessible on a range of older machines.

Any ideas?
